The Twisp Terrace Lodge is in the heart of the Methow Valley in Washington State, one of the most beautiful places in the world and the Pacific Northwest’s #1 vacation destination!  Our address is 20556 State Highway 20, Twisp, Washington 98856.

It is easy to get here.  Except for Highway US-2 in the Wenatchee area, there are no stoplights.  Where the road turns or you take another road, it is your only choice and is well signed.  Have fun on your travels, and take in all of the spectacular scenery!!!

You can travel here by automobile or aircraft.

 

Fastest driving from Seattle (231 miles, 4 hours):

Take I-90 East to Exit 85 for WA-970 N toward Wenatchee

WA-970 becomes WA-97 N; WA 97 intersects and merges with US-2

Follow US-2 East/WA-97 N through north end of Wenatchee, across Columbia River, and north to separation of US-2 East and WA-97 N at Orondo

Continue North on WA-97 (US-2 turns right and heads east)

Just before Pateros, turn left off WA-97 N onto WA-153 North

Follow WA-153 N to intersection with WA-20 E; turn right on WA-20 E

After 1.5 miles, turn right into Rockchuck Ranch/Twisp Terrace Lodge gate

Follow paved driveway 3/4 mile to Twisp Terrace Lodge

Park under the Portico by the main Lodge doors:  you have arrived!

 

Amazing Scenic Driving from Seattle (May-November Only) (207 miles, 4.5 hours)

Take I-5 North to Exit 230 for WA-20 East (the North Cascades Highway)

Follow WA-20 East through Marblemount (last gas station until Mazama), across the North Cascades, and into the Methow Valley.  Continue through Winthrop and Twisp and follow signs to stay on WA-20 East

Two miles south of Twisp, approximately 143 miles from I-5, turn right into Rockchuck Ranch/Twisp Terrace Lodge gate

Follow paved driveway 3/4 mile to Twisp Terrace Lodge

Park under the Portico by the main Lodge doors:  you have arrived!

Driving from Spokane (171 miles, approximately 3 hours)

Drive west on US-2 W to WA-21 N (signs for WA-174/Republic and Grand Coulee Dam) (just after passing through Wilbur)

Turn right on WA-21 N, then Left onto WA-174 N

WA-174 N passes Grand Coulee Dam then terminates into WA-17

Turn Right onto WA-17 N; WA-17 N terminates into US-97

Turn Right onto US-97 N, then Left onto WA-213 and cross over Okanogan River into Malott, then turn left at Old Hwy 97 and then immediately right onto B and O road (this is a short cut and well signed)

At the intersection of B and O Road and WA-20, turn left onto WA-20 W

After 22.5 miles and crossing over Loup Loup pass, turn left into Rockchuck Ranch/Twisp Terrace Lodge gate

Follow paved driveway 3/4 mile to Twisp Terrace Lodge

Park under the Portico by the main Lodge doors:  you have arrived!

Amazing Scenic Driving from Vancouver, Canada (220 Miles) (5 hours) (May-November Only)

From Vancouver, follow BC-99 S, cross into the United States and continue on I-5 South to Exit 232

Take Exit 232 for Cook Road toward Sedro-Woolley

Continue on Cook Road to traffic circle with WA-20 E

Exit circle on WA-20 E

Follow WA-20 East through Marblemount (last gas station until Mazama), across the North Cascades, and into the Methow Valley.  Continue through Winthrop and Twisp and follow signs to stay on WA-20 East

Driving from Kelowna, Canada (151 miles, 3 hours)

Take Okanagan Hwy/BC-97 S to border with United States

Cross border and continue south on US-97 S to WA-20 W in Okanogan County.  This is a well-signed right hand turn towards Twisp.

Follow WA-20 W 27 miles, crossing over Loup Loup pass, then turn left into Rockchuck Ranch/Twisp Terrace Lodge gate

Follow paved driveway 3/4 mile to Twisp Terrace Lodge

Flying into Wenatchee

Alaska Airlines flies regular commercial flights into Pangborn Memorial Airport in East Wenatchee, Washington.  The airport is 93 miles from the Lodge.  Rent a car and follow the directions under “Fastest Driving from Seattle” beginning at US-2 in Wenatchee to US-97 N and WA-153 N, or arrange car service with us for a comfortable 1.5-hour drive ($100 per vehicle car service fee each way). 

 

Flying to Twisp Municipal Airport

The Twisp Municipal Airport (FAA 2S0) is located less than a five minute drive from the Lodge.  Kenmore Air will fly chartered aircraft to Twisp; we can arrange this for you and pick you up as you arrive.  We also provide complimentary pickup/dropoff services for guests flying their own aircraft to Twisp.  Please let us know in advance so that we can be sure to be on hand for your arrival!

Flying to the Smokejumper Base

The Methow Valley State Airport (FAA S52), better known as the Smokejumper Base, is 8 miles from the Lodge and can accommodate large aircraft.  Guests flying their own or a chartered aircraft to the Smokejumper Base may call us to use our complimentary pickup/dropoff service.  Please let us know in advance so that we can be sure to be on hand for your arrival!

Flying by Helicopter to the Twisp Terrace Lodge

There is a lighted helipad to the NW of the Main Lodge available for the use of guests.  You must contact us and receive approval in advance.  The helipad may be in use during the winter for heli-skiing and during the summer for scenic valley flights.  There are no aviation services available at the Lodge.  You should check with nearby Twisp Municipal Airport or Smokejumper Base for available services.
