Transformation Transformed! With the rental of the Twisp Terrace Lodge, you are ensured absolute privacy and exclusivity. The entire 300 acre Ranch is available to you, including walking trails, more than a mile of Beaver Creek frontage, alfalfa fields, the pond, our meeting Gazebo, the Picnic Deck over the creek, the Shed Tree, and many other private and hidden places to explore. In addition, you have access to the entire Lodge, including the 2000 square foot Cascade Room, the 20-person dining table, the Library, the Theater and Arcade Room, the Spa Treatment Room, the Sun Room, the 19th Century Pub, the Whistle Pig Saloon, the Sun Room, the Parlor, the Lobby, the Sauna, the various comfortable outside decks and patios, and the pool and 12-person in-ground spa pool. In short, a fully-equipped 23,000 square foot hotel is entirely at your exclusive service! The experience is incomparable. With enhanced wi-fi available in all spaces, including outside spaces and the pool, your Retreat sessions can be held wherever you desire and with no fear of interruption. If you have bulky equipment or bulky presentation items we can store these for you until the event. If desired, the automatic entry gate one-half mile from the Lodge can be closed and the entire Ranch secured for the duration of your stay.
Getting Around While You Are Here: If your guests do not come by private automobile, we are happy to arrange for transportation while you are in the Valley. Our vintage six-door Cadillac Brougham seats nine and is perfect for laid-back golf outings or shopping in Winthrop; our 1962 Pontiac Bonneville convertible transports smaller parties in style. For hiking or trips on back roads we can carry passengers by modern and fully equipped Chevy Tahoe or Suburban. If we need to transport 20 or more people all at once, we will need to make advance arrangements. Complimentary bicycles are available for pedaling around the Ranch.
Sleeping Arrangements: The Lodge easily sleeps 30 persons in a Retreat configuration (click here for Lodge Room Layouts form). However, for maximum comfort and privacy, the capacity "sweet spot" arrangement of in-Lodge guests is 26, arranged as four couples sleeping in King (and one queen) beds in private rooms, four single persons sleeping two to a room in bunk beds; and a further 14 persons sleeping two to a room, either as a couple sharing a bed or as individuals each in XL Twin beds. With this configuration all rooms have bathrooms with the exception of the two small bunk bed rooms, which share a private full bathroom. In addition to the Lodge quarters, our Farmhouse (available as a separate rental) sleeps 6 guests in four rooms and two bathrooms, and the fantastic Log Cabin (also available as a separate rental) sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and one and a quarter bathrooms. The Log Cabin also has a pull out sofa bed that can accommodate an additional two guests sleeping as a couple. If your retreat excludes couples, and each person requires a private room, we suggest limiting retreats to eleven principals (leaving the small bunk bed rooms unoccupied) with facilitators sleeping in either or both of the Log Cabin or Farmhouse. We have also seen where the top executive sleeps in the Log Cabin and other principals are in the Lodge.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included with the full Lodge rental. We are remote and out-to-dinner options are limited. Dinners at the Lodge are available at rates ranging from $45 to $75 per person depending on the menu; dinners can be combined with one or more of the activities listed below to create a retreat event that is fun and unique!
Included Activities: Many activities around the Lodge and Ranch are available at no additional cost or at a nominal cost. In the warmer months, these include yard games, the swimming pool and spa, billiards in the Saloon, watching movies or playing arcade games in the Theater Room, bicycling and hiking, and guided nature walks, around the Ranch, geocaching, and various seasonal activities (for example, demonstrations of tying fly lures; cooking demonstrations; horse grooming demonstrations). For winter retreats, all of the wonderful cold-weather activities are available, including cross country skiing, downhill skiing (Loup Loup ski hill is only 10 minutes away!) , snowshoeing, sleigh rides, etc. The freeform Luge course at the Loup, the only one of its kind in the United States (but a familiar sight in the Alps), is superb fun for all skill levels and highly recommended!
Retreat Group Activities (available for an additional charge): For your entire Retreat group, we recommend the following "after hours" activities. Please keep mind that in the summer the sun sets at 9:30 pm or later, so if the working day is done by 5 or 6 PM there is plenty of time for fun outdoor activities!
